Shanti Press publishes the most beautiful books and magazines. One of my flash vignettes appears in their latest issue of the Still Point Arts Quarterly. When I saw the call, I was immediately attracted to the road theme. My story is called Cocoon, and its more true than fiction. It gave me a warm feeling to write it.

It starts like this: At eleven, the boy was sullen, pummeled by the split….

    Merci Gabriella, On ressens la peine du petit garçon mais aussi l’amour et la résilience la mère. On se sentait en sécurité dans l’auto. J’espère que ton été a bien été. Ici la vie est allé à 100 mille à l’heure jusqu’à mardi passé. On gardait les enfants de ma nièce pour la semaine et j’ai commencé à faire de la fièvre, ugh. Vendredi je suis allé voir mon doc, j’avais mal à l’aine mais j’en ai pas parlé. La fièvre a tombé hier mais maintenant j’ai une bosse et une partie de la jambe enflée. Ugh. J’attends 8h30 pour appeler et aller le voir. Ton histoire était tout doux pour moi ce matin, merci.
